Ruta 2012 -Dia 3 :: Península de Snaefellsnes (Parte 2)

Once we arrived to the camp site of Hellissandur and put the tent, we decided to do a route around the peninsula area nearer to Hellissandur.

First we went by road to the Skardsvik beach, a sand beach surrounded by impressive cliffs.

After taste the water, frozen, we went to the Vatnsborg crater by a 2 km long walking route accross a lava field.

And returning to the camp site, a small stop in the Svörtuloft cliffs..

Where we see one of the best sunsets we have ever seen.
